The complex problems surrounding the nexus of cities, natural hazards, climate change and energy will challenge engineers for decades, and civil engineers have an essential role in developing innovative solutions. We are in the middle of a multi-century shift in how humans live. Civil engineers are developing and testing new ideas for sustainable infrastructure in this increasingly urban world.

As the Özyeğin University Civil Engineering Department (ÖzÜ-CE), our vision is to train leading engineers in civil engineering education, research, and innovation. We aim for our graduates to be engineers capable of developing sustainable solutions in sustainable infrastructure development, earthquake engineering, climate change adaptation, energy-efficient design, smart mobility, and digital transformation while adapting to a changing world. In nurturing the next generation of civil engineers, we strive to equip them with cutting-edge knowledge, advanced technical skills, and a forward-thinking mindset to design, build, and maintain infrastructure that can withstand the challenges of natural disasters, evolving climates, and rapid technological changes.
