The Department of Civil Engineering invites candidates to apply for the faculty positions to start in Fall 2026. While the Department is primarily seeking applicants at the assistant professor level, applicants at other ranks will also be considered. Applications are sought from candidates across the broad area of geotechnical engineering.

The applicant must have a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering (in the area of broad area of geotechnical engineering). The applicant must demonstrate excellent research potential as well as a strong interest and ability in undergraduate and graduate teaching. The candidate will be expected to develop and lead a robust externally funded research program. Applications will be reviewed immediately and continue on a rolling basis until all positions are filled.  Shortlisted candidates will be called for interviews.
